After being inspired by “artsed” and his wonderful review on this same subject I decided to give my view of the best actresses in English movies. Thanks “arsted” for the inspiration.

Meg Ryan

Not only is this actress beautiful, she is also funny and yet she can be so real and serious in her roles. Meg is the simple girl kind of the girl next door type, or the girl that everyone s wants to take home to mom and dad. She has had several amazing roles during her acting years roles like “proof of Life” were she played the wife of a man who was captured and taken hostage by a gang of rebels.

Julia Roberts

I remember her in the best role ever “ Pretty Woman”, and then I loved her in “Runaway Bride” and “Oceans 11''. She was also outstanding in the best movie ever as “Erin Brockavich”. Julia is beautiful, but yet she plays in some really awesome roles. She can be a stripper, a bride who is afraid to commit, and even a helper to a lawyer to save peoples lives and health. She works well with her partners and I just love her movies. There is only one movie I really didn’t care for her in and that was “The Mexican.” with Brad Pitt.

Goldie Hawn

I first fell in love with this actress when I seen her in “Private Benjerman” She played that role to a tee. She was so funny and so pretty and her eyes are wonderful. She has the prettiest smile I ever seen. She also played in other movies like: Banger Sisters, (2002) The First Wives Club (1996) Bird on a Wire (1990) one of the other great movies I loved seeing her in along with Kurt Russell “Over Board” (1987) She is just fun to watch and adorable to view..

Molly Ringwald

Molly is the sweet young actress in 16 candles, is were I first seen her act. I just loved the way she portrayed the love sick girl who wanted to be so in love with this awesome good looking boy, then she was also in a movie that was a blockbuster called “The Breakfast Club” along with some other fabulous actors, and actress. She moved on to have more great movies like “ Pretty in Pink”, and Betsy’s Wedding”. I grew up with Molly as a young girl to a pretty young lady and I feel she deserves to be in this list.

Alicia Silverstone

I was first introduced to this beautiful girl in the rock videos of AeroSmith. She was like the rodeo girls were each video she was there. She made the videos what they were today along with the great band. Then she moved up in the world. I really liked her in the movie “clueless” (1995). She done a fantastic job as a goody two shoe rich girl. Then I seen her in the drama movie “Crush” (1993) were she played the evil girl who tormented the man she was in love with who was older. She also played in the movie “Batman” and “Blast from the Past” and many more movies. I feel she made a great leap into the Hollywood movie scene and she deserves a lot of credit for her outstanding roles.

Conclusion

there you have it, my top list of five great English actresses and the roles they played in. I can’t believe it most of them are all blonds ( like me) and two of them are born red heads.. :) Guess the red heads bring fire to the screen.. I’m sure I didn’t list all of your top favorites, and I sure wish I could of added more but that is all they called for. There are many more who should of made the list and below I will add a few extras.
