Tough job picking 5. Review on Five Best HollyWood Comedy Movies

Well since hollywood produces good comedies every year it's really tough picking up 5 but since I have not watched a whole lot of classics in this review I have decided to pick top 5 comedies strictly fom the last 10 years and hence my list contains movies released between the years 1998-2007 and even narrowing it down to last 10 years didn't make my task that easy because I have practically watched every good comedy that hollywood had to offer during the last 10 years

if you go through my entire review I am pretty sure that you'll have an idea which were the comedies woth watching in the last 10 years and here's **a request to all who read this review to please mention the name of a good comedy from the last decade which I might have missed in the comments section

*i have slotted the comedies into four categories namely sex/teen comedy, romantic comedy, comedy-drama, comedy-fantasy-family

1.sex/teen comedies

high ranked:knocked up, euro trip, road trip, american pie 1 and 2, american wedding, wedding crashers, the 40 year old virgin, dude where's my car, meet the fockers, old school

low ranked:you me and dupree, boat trip, women on top

very difficult to chose one since this category has maximum films and in the end I had to chose between american pie double, the 40 year old virgin and knocked up but my vote will go the 40 year old virgin.starringsteve carrell, pal rudd, seth rogan this story is about how a 40 year old virgin tackles the pressure of being a virgin and how on his way to losing his virginity discovers love..awesome performances, some great improvised dialogues make this movie a must watch...

*2.comedy/drama

high ranked:terminal, little miss sunshine, catch me if you can, american beauty, sideways, catch me if you can, life is beautiful

best of the lot:a look at the names of the movies and you understand that it aint easy picking one from this list as well..but well my vote goes to sideways..starring paul giamati and tomas haden church this movie is about two men in their late 30's who take a road trip through the vine country in california..one man is a divorcee while the other is about to get married and what have heir own expectations from this oen week...what works for the movie that it is very simple, funny and at the same time very moving.

*3.romantic comedies

high ranked:what women want, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, 50 first dates, meet the parents, something's gotta give, the break up

low ranked:the bachelor

even though I am not particularly that fond of romantic comedies eternal sunshine starring jim carrey, kate winslet, kirsten dunst, mark ruffalo and elijah wood **is a delighful movie..jim carrey is in a very different role altogether and boy he doesn't disappoint a bit..kate winslet is a fantastic actress and her chemistry with jim carrey is fab..dont want to reveal much of the plot..this movie is highly recommended..

4.fantasy/family comedy

*high ranked:bruce almighty, click, cheaper by the dozen, fun with dick and jane

*low ranked:evan almighty, 13 going on 30, freaky friday, night at the museum

cheaper by the dozen** gets my vote for the best among the above mentioned films..steve martin is an actor who specialises in comedy and well this movie is a delight because of his amazing perfromance and  the dozen kids are adorable.. the sequel though has very negative reviews and I have not watched it yet..

superbad, hot fuzz, the italian job, cheaper by the dozen 2, mystery men, out of sight, talladega nights, blades of glory, stranger than fiction, dan in real life, me myself and irene, hairspray, wild hogs, i now pronounce you chuck and larry, *
