I came across such posts, reviews, blogs or whatever you may say in a wholelotta sites and communities. My perception of talking about the top 5 guitarists is entirely different. First of all there is noone who can be termed as the BEST in the music scenraio. Everyone is good in their own way or I may say'best' in their own respective genre.

With music reaching its new heights every single moment we dicover a new talent hitting the music scenario. It was Andres Sergovia during the 18th century, T.Bone .Walker in the 1940's, Joe Pass in the 50's, Jimmy Hendrix in the 60's, the last phenomenon being the late great Shawn Lane.

Music has evolved in its various forms, and guitar being the foothold has been explored by many. Not only in classical, flamenco, jazz, funk or rock, it has also emerged in the form of neo classical, metal, experimental rock etc. Most recently Bucket head and Ron Thal are the two guitarists whom am digging to the core. These players are not only amazing, but has given rock music a new path of motion which was going stereotyped due to the typical Slash trademarked solos. John, al di meola and paco are all into different genres altogether i, e. world music. Thus am not taking them as the subject of my review. The main point of the discussions will be revolving around the newest guitarists on the block, or I may say them as Virtuosos.

RON THAL - Popularly known as the bumblefoot, this man is one helluva guitarist. He is known for incorporating complex guitar solos and chord combinations which also includes the use of Polychords in his songs. The solos are way ahead of the time and believe me, they are mind blowing. A virtuoso and a shred-a-holic in character, this man keeps his audience jaw dropped everytime he plays.Get hold of his album Normal, and you will understand.

Bucket head - The 7 ft tall and a KFC bucket on his head, this guitar wizard will blow your heads off. An avante garde musician and an ardent composer, the guitarist is know for his behaviour, antics and his virtuosity. Only one word to describe him - AMAZINGGGG.

Lt. SHAWN LANE - I  am noone to describe the ability this person had. A guitarist cum pianist, this man brought a new dimension to the guitar. A jazz fusion guitarist, and a shredder this man tops my list of guitar heroes. RIP - Shawn.

Guthrie Govan -  The newest member on the block. His versatility surprises everyone. From country to jazz, from blues to shred he plays it all. I hail this person. Get your hand of his album called Erotic Cakes.

Joe Stump - A neo classical shred legend. Some may compare him with Yngwie, but this man has the feel going along with the shred. With his fret burning runs and killer sweeps, he is there to get your  head swirling with disbelieve. An instructor in Bekley, this man is totally into neo classical shred metal.

I only named a few, and I promise that there willl be few more to come up. Do stay updated as I will provide you with a bunch of whole new talents. I have been writing this stuff without a break causing my typing hands to pain. I stop here now. Thank You.
