For My Friend..... Review on Five Best Friendship Songs

I dedicate this review to my friend SUNIL KUMAR SINGH. A guy who is currently preparing for his second mate exams and is soon going to be an officer in his chosen line of profession, Merchant Navy. He has already completed his cadet ship and is currently offshore in mumbai. I swear on GOD I hate being any where else except Mumbai when Sunil is back at offshore.

Just a brief story on how we met and became friends.

I was the captain of one of the cricket teams in our school and Sunil(my classmate) was in our opposite team. Although he always wanted to be in my team, but I some how always found an excuse to keep him out. I dont doubt his cricketing skills. He was one of the best batsman at our school teams disposal, but then I had other so called best friends to be given a place. It was then for the first time during our 12th standard that I came to know how important I was for Sunil when he hit his teams captain, Sarosh(great bowler and a very good person), on the face several times in front of our class teacher just because Sarosh was fighting with me on the issue of Sunil getting run out on my direct hit and Sarosh standing as a leg umpire at that moment ruled the clear run out as not out.

This moment gives me the space to mention about one of the most perfect songs on friendship.

The lines of one of hte stanza's have very significant meaning for me.

Still just friends who occasionally met as I was preparing for my various entrance exams and trying to convince the love of my life how important she was for me( Although I didnt succeed) and Sunil was preparing for his 12th boards after taking a drop from the previous year.(A decision in which no one supported him, but this was the decision which made his life. Thank God he took the brave and a correct decision cause he scored 80+ in his 12th). It was then that Sunil with Neha, his love of life helped me in meeting my love at the moment when she was not even ready to see my face and everybody had turned there back on me.

This was the time when the strong tree for our friendship was making me feel of its existence. Another perfect time for another great song on this great friend.

Now when ever he goes on his voyage, I always see to it that I am the person who goes to see him off and also receive him when he is back. I owe a lot to this man called Sunil Kumar Singh for being such great friend. He, in my absence, everyday makes sure that my parents and my younger brother dont miss me much by giving them some of his time evey day.

Today whatever I stand for today is only because of my family and my friend Sunil.

Today I sit here in my office in Pune, just remembering the great times we have spend together and missing my dearest and closest of friends. I have only a couple of things in my mind.
