Just an old fashioned love song

I haven't ready too many of the other reviews.  I wanted to answer this question without being biased by songs that others caused to pop into my head, but instead from my own memories and my own heart.

There are a dozen songs that come to mind almost immediately.  Crazy by Patsy Cline, Just An Old Fashioned Love Song, Beth by Kiss, almost anything that Edwin McCain sings.

But the ones that come to my head quickest, the ones that always get to my heart are these:

1.  Friend, Lover, Woman, Wife by Mac Davis.  This was the first song that my husband ever played for me and said'this is how I feel about you'

2.  Cross My Heart by George Strait.  Another that he dedicated to me once over the radio.  There's a funny and tearful story behind this song, because we were going through some tough times. that Christmas we were both looking for this tape for one another, and bought it for one another for Christmas without the other knowing what was going on.  Needless to say, tears were shed that Christmas morning.

3.  If Tomorrow Never Comes by Garth Brooks.  A reminder that we aren't guaranteed tomorrow and that we should tell our loved ones how we feel every chance we get.

4.  Every Rose Has It's Thorns by Poison.  An odd love song, yes, painful to listen to if you've been through heartache, but still one that speaks to my heart for many reasons.

5.  Good Morning Beautiful by Steve Holy.  Having my husband call me early in the morning and play this song over the phone to me. what can I say?  Here are the lyrics:

Good morning, beautiful, how was your night?

Mine was wonderful, with you by my side.

And when I open my eyes and see your sweet face,

It's a'good morning, beautiful' day.

I couldn't see the light,

I didn't know day from night.

I had no reason to care.

But, since you came along,

I can face the dawn,

'Cos I know you'll be there.

Good morning, beautiful, how was your night?

Mine was wonderful, with you by my side.

And when I open my eyes and see your sweet face,

It's a'good morning, beautiful' day.

I never worry if it's raining outside.

Sittin' here with you, girl, the sun always shines.

Good morning, beautiful, how was your night?

Mine was wonderful, with you by my side.

And when I open my eyes and see your sweet face,

It's a'good morning, beautiful' day.

Mmm, good morning, beautiful day.

(Good morning beautiful.)

It's a beautiful day.

(Good morning beautiful.)

Good Morning.

(Good morning beautiful)

What a Beautiful day.

(Good morning beautiful.)
