I don't own many articles of clothing but...

I really don't need a lot of clothes, except the scrub suits for work and overalls for home.  But I do try to keep some essential garments from my favorite designers, just in case.

First of all, I always keep a couple of black dresses to wear.  One length slightly above the knee and the other one above the ankle. Black heels and black pumps depending on my mood and the occasion.  These things never go out of style and can be worn to several types of events.  Unfortunately for me, funerals have been the event. I like Liz Clayborn for my dresses, if I find a good sale.

The second outfit I see is a must for me includes my faithful pair of Levis and my Georgia Tech pull over. The jeans are a bit tight right now, but just the thing to wear to an evening soccer or football game.

The third outfit essential for me, and please don't laugh, is my Old Navy denim mini skirt along with a colorful pull over, great for summer evenings by the pool.  Hey, I still have good legs.  I have taken karate! Well, my husband likes it.  Okay, I know I'm too old.

Fourth on my list is a dressy pant outfit in navy with navy heels or pumps, depending on my mood.  I save this one for meetings, job interviews, visiting people in the hospital and that sort of thing. Paul Harris has some wonderful outfits at reasonable prices.  Hushpuppies are comfortable and that is what I look for in shoes.

Finally, if I'm home and not in my garden or pool, you will not catch me in anything but a comfortable sweat suit.  It doesn't matter what designer.  Walmart is where I buy mine. And Hanes is the brand, but the important thing is that it is soft. Mix this with your favorite pair of house slippers-almost Heaven on earth.

So I think Levi, Hushpuppie, Old Navy, Liz Wear and Paul Harris are some of the best brands. They last forever.
