When the news came out it that the iconic director Abhishek Kapoor is all set to come up with his new movie, all the movie aficionados got really excited, as they were to finally get something worth watching after quite a long time. Afterall, the movie was based on Charles Dickens's Miss Havisham, the legendary novel.
But movie failed in keeping the expectations entirely. The opening seems to make you stick throughout the movie, but by the time movie reaches the interval, it starts getting dull & dry.
The screenplay from Aditya Roy Kapoor's end is really good. Commendable, I would say. Not to mention those flaunting-sharp muscles, gave yet another reason for girls to admire the movie till the end, along with his acting skills.
Katrina Kaif also has put in lot of efforts & seems to have done some real homework on the subject. The character has been played neatly.
But somewhere the cinematography went off the track in the middle of the movie & just could not get back to tracks.
The story since was taken from the much read novel, was just so interesting.
The music also has make another dent with the lyrics ofcourse.
But the much celebrated director Abhishek Kapoor could not deliver the expectations. Probably he needs to be more choosy with the serious books he is picking for the movie story. He should have kept serious books like Miss Havisham for a bit maturity in his career.
The takeaway from my end would be that if you don't have anything else to watch this weekend, then go for Fitoor. Don't take the pain to watch it specifically otherwise.
