It`s well known that online shopping sites have been offering wide variety of products and services nowadays. As with almost everyone that they have lesser time at their disposal. They also prefer e- shopping for having great User interface in tune with better internet loading speed from the user side. User can have almost an experience equivalent to having seen the proposed item physically in the real market!
I also had less time at my disposal.Few baby items were to be gifted when I was in Delhi last month. I was to send two items to Kanpur and one item to Jorhat.
I chose firstcry.com just because I got carried away by it`s aggressive advertisements.
My biggest mistake was to not refer the online review for this site on my beloved mouthshut.com.
Only Pros for the site The website Loading time is low leading to good virtual experience. User Interface is also good.
My nightmares start as:- My order for Jorhat(Assam) and Kanpur was done on 16 Aug 14 wiyh full payment as I wanted to get it delivered latest on 29 Aug 14.
Status of Kanpur Item=*
Was delivered in four days. Satisfactory delivery time!(flipcart in 2 days) But .`picture abhee baki hai dost.`
The item, a frock for one year old was costing Rs 500 appx but when I reached Kanpur and personally saw it, it was just not worth the price! I felt embarrassed as it was delivered to one of my relative of high social status. The item seemed of very less quality and probably chinese item. I feel this item will hardly cost Rs 150 in local market! But on the website it looked so impressive!
Status of second Item(Order No. 1374176NSV86618287 and Blue dart courier No AWB:69030525263) Estimated Delivery date given was 27 Aug 14. But the item was not delivered by 29th. Upon inquiry it was told that the Address seems to be in restricted area and was not traceable! and they will try again! I was shocked on this poor handling of my item. But, as now wanted at least to get the item delivered! I even provided two alternate contact numbers to facilitate the delivery. Sent a mail on 5th Sep that the item was not delivered.
Now I wanted the proper reply for the lapse. I was not in a position to send the item as COD(Cash on Delivery) as it was to be gifted. They replied me that item could not be delivered and forced to have my money added to my `firstcry account` for next orders. They deducted courier amount from my paid amount! What a sh*!
Just think all online buyers. You have not been delivered the item on a verified address of India. They did not make a single call before taking the item back! and the courier price have been deducted without delivery! The biggest joke.
They will not credit the amount to your bank account. instead it will be kept as `credit` for next purchase from the same dishonest site! Customer Care response Very very arrogant. They will not accept your version at all. They even said `Make complaint on any social site your money will not be refunded in any case` Am I bonded labour of Firstcry.com?
My conclusion This site is a very high degree dishonest site which works the worst when the item money has been prepaid(as in my case). They do not deliver many addresses on the pretext of Courier sites` fault and keep that money with them and return the balance amount to the `First cry account` so as to compel you to buy again from the same site!
No credible after sales service.
Arrogant Customer Care staff.
Horrible packing.(Very Cheap unlike other prominent sites)
Un-reliable.
