Hi friends today I would like to share my experience of Firoz Minar.It is situated in the old ruined city of Gour about 40 kms from Malda.
Once I got the chance to visit Malda with my roommate. Malda is her native place so in holidays we both decided to go there.
This Firoz Minar is almost similar to Kutub Minar of Delhi.it was built by Saiffudin Firoz shah.It is built by using red bricks and terracotta work is visible in the entrance gate of Minar.
The hight of the tower is about 26 mtrs and has spiral staircase leading to the top.However one can't go inside as the door leading to the top was found to be closed.A part from that there is also one beautiful garden which is well maintained.
You can reach here by buses, trains.There are also AC tourist buses are available from Malda.Malda is a very small town so people are not aware of this historical landmark.So I would like to recommend people must visit this place once.
