I am a frequent visitor to Firanos and I disagree with the review that was given calling it zero value for money.
Firanos is an authentic Italian restaurant run by an italian chef. It measures upto the same standard as restaurants I have eaten in central and western europe and probably much better than most in the US(so a So So rating from US returnees is not a gold standard...Italian places in the US are for the most part americanized just like every other cusine in India is Indianized).
The Pasta is really wonderful, the wine better than average compared to what you get in India(I dont think he can offer better wines than that or it would not move) and finally the Tiramisu is really really good and authentic.
The ambience is good, its however in the middle of a crowded road and what you see outside your window is not the best of sights(traffic and pollution).
Its costly...yes it is. But very very good value for money if you are looking for authentic italian fare. If you are looking for Indianized Italian food like you get in every other place in Bangalore....sorry wrong place.
