Really, what were actors Zayed,Dino, Suniel Shetty, Sohail Khan and Riteish, or, more importantly, director Vikram Chopra thinking while scripting the film? Here's a thought, though. It is a pity that we don't have the Bollywood equivalent of 'The Razzie Awards' honouring Hollywood's worst. For this film would definitely have been in contention to make a clean sweep!

Four college friends Zayed Khan, Dino Morea, Aashish Chowdhury and Riteish Deshmukh tap into the anger and restlessness of the youth and start a club where mutual adversaries can pound each other. It is an immediate success.

Suddenly the film changes tracks and a goonda from Delhi, Suneil Shetty, who is now reformed, summons his brother studying in the same college in Mumbai and tells him he must return to Delhi. Yash Tonk, the brother has already had a few run ins with the boys.

Meanwhile Riteish’s uncle in Delhi who has more or less brought him up, is having problems with a gang who want to take over his club on the Delhi-Haryana border to smuggle drugs. That is one of the most porous borders thanks to Gurgaon. This gang is Suneil’s ex gang now run by Rahul Dev and his younger brother Ashmit Patel.

The director has tried to package just about everything to keep the viewer hooked, from comedy to action and even a romantic track. But all efforts turn futile since the film lacks the grip to keep your attention arrested. To give director his due he succeeds in presenting several interesting moments at the very start. But that's not enough .Even the climax is an absolute letdown and seems incomplete. The film is aimed at masses but treatment look completely out of place in a film of this genre. Also, the romantic track seems completely uninspiring and underdeveloped. The director seems to have relied more on form [technique] than content [script] to carry the story forward.

Another factor that works against the film is its music. The songs act as speed-breakers since they are forced in the goings-on. In fact, the film would've had a better impact had it been a songless enterprise. Dialogues are passable. Cinematography is quite good.

The performances are just about okay. But it's not the actors who need to take the blame here. Zayed and Dino can't do justice with their badly etched characters. Sohail Khan is rather wooden. Riteish had it far better with comedies like Bluffmaster ,Kya kool Hain Hum. Diya is wooden.Amrita hams .Neha is wasted.Rent the DVD of Original Fight club instead!
