The first rule of fight club is...you do not talk about fight club. The second rule of fight club is...
You have an easy paying desk job. A flat with all the lifestyle solutions for the young urbanite that you are. You still feel empty.
And then you meet Tyler Durden.
Suddenly Mischief, Mayhem, Mass destruction and a little soap seems like the way to go... If you have never seen this classic before, none of what you read above makes sense. That is what is called a changeover. The review continues and no one in the audience has a clue.
The narrator Jack(Is he Jack?!) cannot sleep. His life is monotonous and draining him one second at time. Then he meets Tyler Durden on a plane during a business visit. Then begins all mischief...all the mayhem...leading to mass destruction and .....
I really do not want any spoilers here. The performances are top notch. Brad Pitt rocks as Tyler Durden, while Edward Norton pulls off a commendable ''Jack with a question mark'' performance.
The violence in this film saw a ban on its theatrical release in India. Even the version broadcast by Star Movies does no justice to this film. Check out the other flicks by the director David Fincher, including Se7en and The game. The background score is one of the best industrial and techno tracks in a long time, if I may say so myself, a Die-hard metal and hard rock fan! Watch it with your closest buddies on a late sunday night and please keep the silly women away!!!
