Fidelity National Investment Services(FNIS) nestled & tucked away in the rising hillocks in distant Powai is an organization to behold & admire for its achievements. Little is known about this financial powerhouse company which can hold its own well among the BPO giants we are familiar with in the central suburbs of Mumbai. It competes with behemoths in domains like Information Technology where we have Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Telecom where First Source & Spanco prevail, Travel where WNS, Genpact endure! On its own turf it rubs shoulders with NCO(Zenta), TCS etc.
Known formerly as E Funds which prided itself as being a haven & conclave of English speech trainers well renowned at that especially for US Culture & Accent Sensitization! I use the word "Sensitization" more so because E Funds trainers were renowned, feared & much in demand over 5 years & still command a premium over others of the same ilk! However of late training has gone global or more aptly universal & the art of competitive advantage has been suitably diluted! Over the years several workhorses & warmongers have bid adieu or gone their separate ways due to a fallout of money, growth, recognition or plain independence! The magnanimity hasn't been lost on the company battling as though without batting an eyelid!
Never one to be disheartened, I always take the practical & pragmatic route to judgement of all things! There are several things though to appreciate in FNIS which put more than several feathers in their cap! People are excellent, not pushy or arrogant but will support you through thick and thin provided you remain faithful! A very classy, neat & clean ambiance welcomes you a non-fussy, no-nonsense look adorning the interiors, building facade & construction! The LOB's & processes also strike you as imaginative, creative & visionary, they have businesses of O2, UK Biggest Telecom Co; American Express Bank, a premium employer in India; Span which is a technology process & several smaller lines of business of the parent company Fidelity International.
That being the case, there's still some way for the erstwhile E Funds to travel & migrate before they actually challenge & gun for the big players! To be fair, it does a fair impression of JP Morgan Services, India but flatters to deceive! That honor being reserved for NCO, the erstwhile Zenta which has since been disbanded! Neither is FIS a major challenge to the likes of Accenture, Wipro or Capgemini which hold businesses of some pedigree in the realm of Technology, Consulting & Outsourcing whereas FIS is in its infancy to garner businesses of this calibre! In the sphere of Executive Compensation & Retention, FIS may do well to take lessons from the bigger BPO players which pay remuneration in excess of Rs.30, 000 namely NCO, 3G, JP Morgan & BA Continuum.
People would do well to note that mine is more of a critical evaluation rather than an effort to stir up a conundrum of dissatisfaction. Like they say to each his own, lest it remain! A lot of industry facelifts have come from lesser known organizations, this probably is one of them period
