Fida...not too impressive!. Review on Fida - Bollywood

Hi guyz.... and girlz;).. I know I'm a bit late in writing this review on Fida, but not my fault .. they put the movie here in perth just now ..so most of you must've already seen it but you can still read my review.. no harm in that. So, I'l make it short and informative and i'm not going to reveal much of the plot for a change..

Cheesy Beginning:The first half hour of the movie is very cliched and very cheesy as well! which is not a good thing at all. The director is going for the ordinary beginning..interesting latter half approach but first impressions have to be good. The characters of Shahid and Kareena are sketchy..not enough depth in them ..Shahid Kapoor deals in imported cars but we never see him once doing that. The way he sees Kareena on the streets with that typical open mouthed expression and how Kareena disappears and ''coincidentally'' he meets her again just soon after is very ordinary. It is a 2 hour and 10 mins or something movie but still you dont have to rush through everything;Starting half hour of the movie could have been better.

Music of the movieAll of the songs in the movie are actually quite good and hummable. Pick of the lot for me was ''Lets do balle'' and it was picturized very well as well!Kudos for that..Shahid Kapoor definitely is a good dancer..and the dance in this song was close to amazing..and since I like dancing ..I'll definitely see the video 100 times and prepare one dance for the next wedding hehe..okk stop digressing..''Nazar nazar'' is the first song which comes too soon ..the movie sort of starts with that song but itz a nice song...''Dil mere naa'' comes soon after Kareena starts loving Shahid and is once again above average..''Maine jis ko Chaha'' has a different tune and music and will be liked by people. Overall Music is quite good, you dont look here and there and wait for the songs to get over

Performances: Performance wise Shahid Kapoor comes on top but with his boyish looks..even though he has made some muscles, he seems a bit out of place compared to Fardeen and Kareena. His role in ''Ishq Vishk'' suited him perfectly but not here. Inspite of that, I think he has done a good job as an actor..liked his serious acting more. Kareena Kapoor was allright..her character has negative shades but it was nothing outstanding and the same goes for Fardeen Khan.Supporting cast was allright. The character of the villian was again a typical foul-mouthed stupid fellow who tried to be unsuccessfully funny at times!

Any loopholes in the script? There are a few! The start of the movie could have been much better. There's an interesting twist in the story at the interval point where Shahid Kapoor finds out some secrets about Kareena but I'm sure half of the audience would have already guessed that. At one point , the director tries to show that Shahid Kapoor has been shot dead and falls out of a train down in to the river..and it's over for him..but just a couple of minutes later it is revealed that he is still alive. I dont know why people liked the first half more..I think the second half was better than the first one..there were some thrills and chills involved but where the interval occurs is very interesting and keeps the viewer waiting for the second half. There are many unnecessary fights in the movie which could have been cut. The end is a bit different from the usual ones but there again a typical situation is used as the base. A ruined bungalow or fortress in a jungle where the main characters come face to face with the villian and what else but some fighting! These loopholes will prevent the movie from getting a nod from the crowd and it will be labelled as just a time-pass movie!

Any Pros? Yes there are..the movie as a fresh look, good music, nicely picturized songs, interesting second half where you might be guessing what's going to happen next, different ending, not 3 hours long ..but I think it was better off being 3 hours long than two! A lot of important details that couldve been there are missing.There are pros but not enough to leave you satisfied

Final wordI think this is a time-pass movie, many people will straight out dislike the movie,many will be in between liking and disliking and only some will think it is great. It couldve been better
