After last week?s flop Kyon Ho Gaya Naa, I went to see this film with pretty high expectations. But once again I was quite disappointed. I?m glad I saw it at least the one time though. The film has it?s high points and low points. I?m going to talk about it as a whole?

The look of the film is quite picturesque and glossy- it looks like an expensively made film. But its one of those movies which lacks substance. When you watch the movie it will remind you of films like ?Humraaz? and ?Ajnabee? which were suspense type films centred around negative characters. The only non-negative character in the movie is Shahid Kapoor, who you end up feeling quite sorry for.

What happens is that he is tricked by Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor which are the REAL COUPLE in the movie. So in terms of seeing Shahid and Kareena together like a proper couple, this is NOT the film. But that doesn?t mean that they don?t look good together.

In the first half of the film, you get to see all their chemistry and they look quite cute together- nothing crude or vulgar. In fact, I found Kareena?s relationship with her real boyfriend in the film (Fardeen Khan) quite distasteful- it looked really awful to see them in the bath together- just a filthy scene if you ask me. But THAT is the turning point in the movie- when Shahid sees the two canoodling in the bathroom together and realises that he has been tricked. In terms of performances, they are all average. No-one really surprises.

Shahid still looks like the chocolate bubblegum boy and he needs to get OUT of that mould otherwise he will be typecast. His acting is okay- but one thing is that he speaks way too fast and you need to look at the subtitles to see what he?s saying. I think he needs to mature as an actor. Kareena looks nice in the first half but in the second half she turns into this vamp. The best thing about her is that she DOES NOT overact in this film which is a relief because that is what she has always done. Her outfits are eye-catching and she hasn?t overdone the make-up or the acting.

Fardeen Khan plays this evil guy- he looks handsome but he doesn?t get the chance to prove his acting abilities in the film. The film has only FOUR songs!!! I don?t know about the soundtrack but the actual film only showed four songs but they were all REALLY GOOD SONGS!!! The songs aren?t spaced out and placed well but they are good quality! Kim Sharma has quite a lengthy role in the film- she play?s Shahid Kapoor?s best friend. The thing that I really HATED about this film is that so many things weren?t explained properly. There are too many loose-ends.

Some things just happen because it looks like it was convenient for the director or something. The two people who end up DYING in the film are Kareena and Shahid. The annoying thing was that whenever Shahid and Fardeen fight, Shahid never fights back, he just takes all the punches and kicks that Fardeen throws at him. I really hoped Fardeen Khan would end up dying but he doesn?t. The ending is really abrupt- it just comes out of nowhere. It is a RUBBISH ending. Fardeen Khan becomes this good guy who lends all this money to charity.

The film is not even that long either- seemed like it was 2 hours long or something. It won?t give you a headache- it?s a very short film. Things also happen very quickly- which isn?t a good thing because it looks like the director is just speeding up the whole storyline. The storyline is not original- it has been attempted before.

Its all about a bank robbery which Fardeen Khan does but Shahid ends up getting the blame for it. Even the way that Shahid carries out his revenge on Kareena and Fardeen is not properly done. You really feel like seeing Fardeen and Kareena suffer in the movie and your heart goes out to Shahid but Shahid ends up looking like this hopeless and pathetic fool who can?t even plan a revenge properly. Another thing is that his best friend in the film (Kim Sharma) is supposed to like him but that story is not even developed. She just ends up marrying another guy.

I was really expecting this movie to be a BIG HIT with lots of thrills but I was WRONG. Like I always say, watch the movie ONCE and see for yourself. The film won?t bore you because the story moves quickly and it?s a short film but it will not make you feel that satisfied.

Overall, an average movie with a nasty angle to it. Go see it for the Kareena & Shahid Kapoor chemistry and for the SONGS!
