I have had my share of driving in and around town and places. the first car I ever owned was a maruti gypsy when I was still in college. still remember those days when I saved up 60, 000 bucks to buy my 1989 open top, black beast... a sheer petrol guzzer but would make heads turn and even envy cops on their useless mahindra jeeps which could be pushed across the finish line.
Theres a time when u grow up and so did i... ferrari started entering my veins. mom still tells me how I used to shout when the red ray of light used to be the first one to cross the chequered flag... wanting something that would make me feel touching the ground while I drive made me buy the esteem which is an exceptionally low car (probably touch every speed breaker in town)... 40, 000 bucks for a 1996 esteem... money well spent... but there was a part inside me which always said that I needed more... I always had my eye on a Palio all this while but it didn't fit my budget. Finally, Raksha Bandhan, the day when I was a proud owner of the Palio S10 (2004)... I paid a whooping 1.8l for the beast but aint it worth every penny that I have spent... lets look at it...
it definitely makes heads turn when u burn rubber on the road at speeds which put a honda city or ikon to shame on the highway...
black tints on yellow body... gals keep staring...
the a.c. ... well my dog needs a sweater to sit the car... it freezes on 1(i dare try it on 4)
we had a puja on dushera and had to get a lot of stuff from relatives... lets see... a gas cylinder, a stove, a burner, utensils, pans, and me and my dad... SPACIOUS is the word
mags add to the flavor...
I could jump a divider with ppl in the car feeling nuthing... (exaggerated I know, but dats how powerful its suspensions are???)
0-60 kms in around 8 secs... Vin Diesel would love to make Fast and the Furious with this car...
gives me approx 9 kmpl with the A.C. ... I would unleash it on weekends for a thrill ride and not use it as my commute to office... (we do have public transport)
For all the ppl who think that the Palio S10 is bad cos of mileage... I got 3 words for ya...
