After completing 6 years with this car, I can easily suggest you Palio Multijet as one of the best & robust hatchbacks ever sold in India.
The kerb weight of 1.1 tons is actually heavier than some of the entry level sedans. Highway performance is simply unmatched. You can cruise in 120 Kmph all day, Rock solid and stable.
True top speed of 165 Kmph.
Things get a lil tough in city limits - Big turning circle - 5.4 meters!
"U" turns need planning. Low speed ride is a bit bumpy on bad roads due to relatively hard suspension.
Dont mistake me - Ride is really great compared to any hatch at the price point.
At 40+ KMPH the ride quality is butter smooth even on worst roads
Pros:

Superb AC,
Fuel Economy - 13 Kmpl to 21 Kmpl( City/ Highway).
Killer Looks in Red Colour.
Very Spacious Hatch including the 260 litre wide boot.
Exclusivity unlike Swift.
Cons-
Parts availability - takes Time & Money- Need patience unlike owning a Maruti.
Poor Fiat Service.
Resale Value(a positive if u planning a used car).
Overall this is a wonderful, but highly Underrated machine.
No major expense till date.
Stock Clutch at 70k kms, Smooth & Powerful Engine, Tank like Built unlike plastic cars!
If you can find a good used example go for it blindly and enjoy your highway trips.
Mind you - this is not a car for who just want to drive. But a true Drivers Car - an absolute delight inspite of all the service hassles.
