I purchased my Linea Diesel Emotion Pack on 12th of December 2009 and since then I have travelled for more than 2000 Kms. on the "beast" and therefore I am in a comfortable position to give my feed backs on this vehicle.
I find it very difficult to digest when people say that the car does not have pick up and that it is a slow vehicle. Believe me or not I had test driven both Linea and Honda City as I had zeroied down on these two vehicles only. When I test drove the two I did not find much difference in the pick up of Honda City and the Diesel version of Linea.
Though I fully agree that the petrol version of Linea is slow at pick up and you have to push in the accelerator a little more than what ordinary is required. But as far as the Diesel version is concerned I did not find much difference. Added to it when the RPM is more than 1500, there is no vehicle which can leave behind this beast with the beauty unmatched. And for those who are concerned about mileage, I can assure them that in a place like Delhi they will not get anything less than 18 Kmpl. Recently I had gone to Chandigarh at my relatives place on this beast and in the high way it has given me a mileage of 22Kmpl.
I don't have words of appreciation to address this car. Those people who compare this car with Honda City are mistaken that the features and the feel good factor in this car is that of the Honda Civic and not Honda City.
Features like Blue and Me give you a feeling of pride while driving this car. The suspension, the stearing, the grip of the road etc are so good that it is not possible to resist to yourself from buying this vehicle once you drive it.
The engine of this vehicle is the best diesel engine ever we had in India. The other car companies just copy this engine and use it in thier models. And the biggest "copier" if I can say is Maruti. As of now this engine is there in Dezire, Swift, Indigo, Manza, Ritz, Punto, and Indica Vista. Recently there was a competition of diesel engines in India in which various companies participated and the best prize was won by none other than this engine of Fiat which has turned the image of Fiat from worst to best in various categories.
The looks of this car is so stunning that it indeed gives justification to it's "Admiration Guaranteed" logo. And when you are inside the car you feel like that you are in an iron tank as it is very strong which is typical of a true european car.
I am not a Fiat guy nor I am associated in any way with mouth shut.com(except for the reviews which I see in it). I am an advocate practicing in the Supreme Court of India, New-Delhi. I was planning to buy a car in the range of Rs. 9K. I am thankful to mouth shut. com. for making me decide the best vehicle in the range of Rs. 9K.
If your budget is around 9K then believe on my words and stratight away go to buy a Linea Emotion Pack(Diesel). I think there is no car in this category which gives the same value for money as this car.
