Fiat India Automobiles has launched its luxury sedan Linea, The FiatLinea has an international vocation; it was designed by the Fiat StyleCentre. Fiat India has also announced its plans to introduce twohatchbacks Grande Punto (B segment car) and Bravo in the Indian carmarket this year.
Designed by the Fiat Style Centre, the Fiat Linea features smooth, simple, uncluttered lines that give the car a dynamic, harmoniouslook.While offering a new reading of the stylistic elements of theItalian tradition in the saloon segment.
Proposed with a single body type, the car conveys an impression ofsolidity, robustness and roominess, which is confirmed by thedimensions: it is 456 centimeters long, 173 cm wide and 150 cm tall, with a wheelbase of 260 cm, measurements that put it at the top of itscategory.
The petrol and diesel versions of Linea have three variants-Active, Dynamic, and Emotion each. The petrol versions of Linea are pricedbetween Rs. 5.98 lakh and Rs. 6.98 lakh, while the diesel variants arepriced between Rs. 6.88 lakh and Rs. 8.10 lakh.
With fully integrated robotized engine (FIRE) would power the petrol version of the Linea, and the diesel version is equipped with the advanced new generation multi-jet engine.
The emphatic, robust, muscular wheel arches, classy exterior with dual parabola headlamps, modern chrome-surround retro grille, and front as well as rear fog lamps, give the Fiat Linea a feeling of solidity and aggressive appeal. And the same reassuring impression is conveyed bythe rear end, with its elegant uncluttered line.
One of the highlights is the Blue&Me technology developed in partnership with Microsoft. The Blue&Me hands-free phone system allows effortless handling of incoming or outgoing calls by pairing Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. Fiat is always known for its safety and the Linea is another example of this.
Safety features include Fire Prevention System (FPS), dual front airbags, ABS with electronic brake force distribution for better handling, and rolling code type-anti-theft engine immobilizer.
The car has met with strong success across the world and although Linean has been designed with a strong Italian style, the Fiat manufactures has also taken into consideration local Indian taste and requirements and have incorporated this into the Indian Linea.
