I purchased multijet emotion 3 weeks back with Rs.70000.00 discount at Salem Tru Saii motors. Got delivered to my place after a week of booking. Initially when I made the payment, there was no discount. The discount was announced by the company after 5 days of booking. But the dealer returned Rs.70000.00 as cash discount. It was a nice gesture.
Previous to this car, I had Maruti 800, Esteem, Palio Diesel and old Verna which I sold recently.
Purchase - had test drive, the features were explained in detail by Mr. Sridhar, sales man of Tru Sai Motors.Went to the service centre and saw the workshop. Got the doubts cleared. Had the test drive of Vento, Honda city and Nissan Sunny. I selected Linea for the shear solid feel.
I had driven 2000 kms since I bought the vehicle, both in the town and highways. The vehicle is rock solid and the stability of the vehicle is extremely good, especially in the curves whien compared to the other cars I had.( I think it's because of hydraulic steering) Initially I had problem in getting used to the car since Vernal was a jet. Once I am used to it, I feel comfortable.
The initial pick up is not good but once you touch 2000 rpm, it flies. My wife feels that less initial pick up is safer. But it is very smooth to drive.( smooth accelertation). No need to change the gears frequently since there is no jerk even at lower speed. Of all the cars I had owned, this is the most stable car in highway driving. There are many safety features which you can see in the website. The mileage I got was 16.5 kms.( mixed driving)
Interior plastics are not of high quality when compared to verna. But is not very bad. All other features blue and me, auto rain wipers, cruise control( useful in highways) etc., are pretty good. Rear seat comfort ie., thigh support and leg room are good.( I am 6 feet tall)The breadth of the seat is more and I am very comfotable when compared to Verna.
Though I could see only few vehicles in Namakkal town, I am very happy with the car. I donot know why the number of cars sold is very less. Probably fear of service support. I hope I will get a good service.( I had enquired few of the owners here and they said no problem with the service at Tru Sai, Salem) Once you own a fiat vehicle, you will like it. if you want a car for racing it, Linea is not for you.
Review after 2 1/2 years of use - I didn't have any significant problem after 60000 kms running. Except the routine service, routine change of brake shoes, change of tyres after 45000 kms etc., I didn't encounter any major problem. Service at Salem True sai was satisfactory. Mr.Sakthivel at the centre was very helpful and courteous.Though mostly driven by driver, I enjoyed the stability while driving in the highways. Last week the car was hit by a trailer and it was a major accident. May go in for total loss. Both my wife and the driver escaped with minor injuries, air bags opened up. I feel the robust nature of the car has saved their lives. I am planning to go for linea again.
