The car was selected after a lot of study on the available hatchbacks. The confusion did not stay for long after I saw the Punto for the first time. The looks were stunning. I have only completed 3010 kilometer yet. I know that it is too early to judge the car. I will let you know what I liked and what I did not.
What I liked:
Looks ( I opted for white)
Mileage (13/litre to 15litre in City and 20/litre for long drives - all with air condition on)
Volume controls and music controls on Steer Ring
Safety Features ( Air Bag)
Alloys
Front and Back Wiper Quality + Horn
Spacious Boot Area
What I did not like:
Quality of plastic used
Head Light ( not great when Misty)
The limited space in Dash Shelf
Number of Electronic Key Provided ( only One)
Speaker Quality for Music System is very poor
The first Service was done at Prerana Motors, near Kudlu gate, Bangalore. I would rate the Service Center 5/5 for the amazing way they dealt with me. The representative therenamed Dhananjay is the best Customer Service Person I have ever met in my life. Thank you Dhananjay. I would recommend Prearana Motors to any Punto customers as my car came back to me just like from the showroom. I only had to pay Rs 100.00 As it was my first free service.
Adding my experience with Punto Emotion Pack
Now I crossed 76000 Kilometers.. I travel Mainly to my Hometown in Kerala from Bangalore. I travelled 51times to Kerala by now. which means my Car travelled close to 51000 to Kerala alone. most of the times via Bangalore-Salem-Coimbatore-Palakkad-Thrissur. Else by Bangalore-Mysore- Gunlupet - Vazhikkadavu-Manjeri-Edappal-Thrissur. I never got bored or the car never failed. Did have to tow twice as the clutch was dead. Fixed issue under warranty even though I had to do some e-mail communication to Fiat to do it free of cost.
Service in Bangalore is excellent. I always take vehicle to Prerana Motors which is not Vecto Motors near Singasandra. Surendra is the best I have contacted at Vecto.
Did a Bangalore - Mumbai - GOA- Bangalore which was really nice.. I like to make use of better roads by speeding a little bit.
SO far not accidents as breaks used to be in good condition. (Yes.. Some stupid accidents did happen while taking U-turn as bike riders in Bangalore believes that they are like the Tiger who goes inside the Ring in Madagascar Movie.) But with Gods Grace. We are safe till now.
Finally.. So far after changin clucth kit, replacing front glass twice(cos of Mango and rock pieces from truck). I still believe its a good Car.. :)
