Always takes about 10 days to deliver. Review on Fedex Courier

I have received about a dozen shipments from FedEx so far and not one of them within a week. I have received them all within a span of 8-10 days. Calling the city office and customer care doesn't help. Even registering and escalating complaints doesn't work.

Right now, I have about two Ebay purchases, shipments from Hyderabad to Hyderabad. According to Ebay and the sellers, the packages were picked up on 7/12/2013. BlueDart does an excellent job of delivering Hyderabad to Hyderabad shipments on the same day. The next day at the most, in case the shipment was picked up in the late evening. My house is in a prime location in the city opp. to an important landmark, so location being remote is ruled out.

The two shipments were updated on FedEx tracking system only on 9/12/2013 evening. Today is 14/12/2013 and I have not received them yet, even after one week of shipment. In the past I have waited for about 10 days for overnight deliveries to be received. Some of them were supposed to be delivered within 24 hours with money back guarantee.

My grievance is more about the false status updates then the delay itself. FedEx staff try to be very creative with the false status updates, the favorite false status updates of FedEx are:

1) Incorrect address.

2) Future delivery requested.

I have found these false updates on all my delayed packages so far and I keep getting told that they are busy with large packages and I could come to the office and collect them in the future in case of delay.

I have raised a complaint against the false status updates by calling up their customer care and was assured that the packages would be delivered within 12 hours. That was 2 days ago.

I wanted to share my experiences here so as to caution everyone against using FedEx for important shipments. I feel bad for those expecting important documentation such as stamped visa. Can only imagine what they might go through. I hope FedEx learns the value of time and honesty.
