Movie prelude, not a review. Review on Fanaa

Fanaa means total annihilation. In this movie, the meaning would adjust to destroying oneself because of love...

''Tere dil mein meri saanson ko panaah mil jaaye, tere ishq mein meri jaan fanaa ho jaaye''

The tagline of the movie reads: ''The love story of a terrorist and a Kashmiri girl..''. Zooni (Kajol) bumps into Rehan (Aamir), a tour guide. Zooni's friends don't like him as he is a flirt, but she decides with her heart. Zooni checks out Delhi with the help of Rehan and feels great about life. But he has a past that is noxious. And that's the catch of the movie, the 'mystery' factor that expects us to drived to the theatres.

Anyway, this isn't a movie review. Fanaa, to be released on May 26, brings about a lot of firsts...

This is Kunal Kohli's movie. His name doesn't sound powerful enough to direct Aamir though he has Hum Tum to his credit. But the way the movie has been shot, we can expect a winner. Cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran must have done a great job as we have already seen his work (Kabhi na kabhi)

The movie is set in a Kashmiri valley. The surprise entry will be that of Tabu. Be sure to be surprised to see her, else the movie-makers will feel that I have disclosed that. It has also has Shiny Ahuja (Hazaaron Kwaishein Aisi), Kiron Kher, Lara Dutta & Rishi Kapoor (as Kajol's father).

All those die hard Aamir fans, here's something. Mangal Pandey, RDB shows him dieing. Will that trend continue?

It is Jatin-Lalit's music and Udit Narayan is one of the singers. The track 'Subhan Allah' is a sure shot winner. Known singers are: Sonu Nigam, Babul Supriyo, Mahalaxmi Iyer and Sunidhi Chauhan.
