FaNaA- A sNeAk PrEvIeW
Fanaa means destruction/finish/khattam. The word was first heard by millions of Hindi cinegoers in the summer of the year 2004 when the Mozart of Madras “Allah Rakha Rehman (AR Rehman)” sang the song “Fanaa” in the film Yuva! The song did very well despite the movie bombing at the box office!
Aamir- Kajol, the chemistry!
Aamir has always done things in a different mould. I am not getting into the details of him being compared to the likes of Shahrukh as it would only be unfair. Aamir has always done things in a different way, earlier he had vowed never to work with the Chopras but Fanaa seems to have done some magic on him and he decided to give it a shot. He vowed never to turn up for any of the film award functions and as a fan one would only expect him to make his presence felt there too. He is always known to be a perfectionist and donned newer roles from time to time.
Kajol on the other hand has shed weight and looks fabulous (like she normally does) and the chemistry between the two is something which the audience would want to watch for sure and one can only hope that this movie would add a yet another feather to both Kajol and Aamir!
Life is all about making the right choices! To make a choice between the right and the wrong might be a touch simpler, but the greatest acid test in anyone’s life comes when he/she has to choose between the lesser of two evils or the greater of two goods!
This is the piece of guidance that Zooni Ali Beg (played by Kajol) gets from her father before she ventures onto the world on her own. Kajol plays this blind Kashmiri girl who meets Rehan Qadri (played by Aamir Khan). Rehan is this irresistible flirt who ventures from one city to another admiring the architecture of the city and the women in that city. Despite the warnings from her friends not to go with Rehan, Zooni chooses him. What Zooni does not know is the fact that behind this inveterate flirt Rehan is a man who is capable of finishing the world! Rehan on the other hand is completely smitten by Zooni and vows to make her see the good things in life in its truest colors. What follows all this forms the rest of the story!

With Kajol coming into the silver screen after years now and being paired with Aamir Khan (they had earlier worked in Ishq), it surely promises to be a breathtaking movie.

My take on this movie is that Fanaa would draw a very good initial draw based on the cast and the rest would entirely depend on the story and the performance. It surely is gonna be one helluva ride for the audience waiting eagerly to enter the cinema theatres to watch this flick that hits the theatres on May 26, 2006!
