Mixed bag. Review on Fanaa

Its natural to expect from Yash raj films but sometimes these expectations let us down.

Fanaa.. as the meaning of the word goes..destroyed..is not quite a crap keeping in mind the performances of the leading players.

the story:

Junni ( Kajol ) a blind but beautiful and talented girl is brought up with love and overt emotions by her parents (Rishi Kapoor and Kirron Kher)... infusing all the love in shaayari most of the times. She comes to Delhi to perform in rastrapati bhavan and meets Rehan (Aamir) the guide ... remember Raaja hindustaani..

well this guide is a very flirtatious kinds who does not waste his time and quickly gets involved with a blind girl emotionally..... and then physically.

kajol gets a nod to get married to rehan and while the come she has this quick urge to get an eye operation done.

The world seems to be a different place with and without eyes for junni.. to know more .. see the movie.

I always try to find good things about a movie ... and hera again I would appreciate a wonderful performance by aamir in rehan the guide... later on I think he lost his fizz.. kajol is looking stunning and has really played the blind girl character in her own style which is to be seen.

The second half is rather a little technical with little knowledge about it... unnecessary dialogue baazi about the India Pakistan conflict about the Kaashmir issue. Good camera work in the fight scenes in the snow..... and ofcourse a remarkable romantic song picturisation in the canadian maple backdrop in kashmir!!!

There are a little too many obvious coincidences ..... and the plot is very very predictable.

Music is superb .... especially the rendition by Shaan .. chaand sifarish..but the song is very early in the movie ...Sonu nigam has done well singing the slow number mere haath.. with lovely kashmir style music background.

in all... dont expect much ... its just another movie.. no humor at all.
