Soulful . Review on Fanaa Songs

Like every other Fanaa fan, I was looking forward to the soundtrack which I now officially own.Let me start by saying Jatin-lalit will be missed considerably they have delivered memorable music like DDLJ/KKHH and many more!The first ever song I heard was 'Chand sifarish' which was premiered on Indian radio live, I was blown away to say the least, what caught me was the Lyrics, "SUBAHANALLAH" first then the soulful sufi/arabic instruments. It was completely unlike what I was expecting. I love the way the song expressed the flirtatiousness of Rehan to Zooni even before seeing the film, I can tell you that got me heated up to see the Aamir and Kajol Jodi!!The second song which I heard when it officially was being heard everywhere was 'Mere haath mein', again I was blown away. Now I have heard many bollywood love stories, but I have never in a long time heard one with such chilling lyrics contrasted with rythm and soul. It really made me feel the Journey of Rehan and Zooni's love, there inward feelings and passion. What also captivates you is the first line you hear as a echo in the beginning, "YA VAADA" OR "YA MAULA".. it really expressed sadness and yearning of love. And the shock of hearing the actual voices of Kajol and Aamir stating such chilling dialogues "MERE DIL MEIN TERI SAASON KO PANAAH MIL JAAYE, TERE ISHQ MEIN MERI JAAN FANAA HO JAAYE"..HAILA!!The third song which I heard after the latter was 'Dekho na'. Now again this expressed Flirtatiousness, but this time not just through Rehan but also through Zooni.. sung beautifully ofcourse as in all songs. The once again rythmic sound and sensual lyrics made you see Aamir and Kajol in the rain before the picturization!Fourth song is 'chanda chamke', this song made me realise that there was a child in the film. Even though it gave that away, the curiousity through the song remained from how, why, .. The song is sweet, which I may say my little sister loved. It caters to kids and shows playfulness with Zooni and her child alongside Rehan.Fifth song 'Fanaa for U', when I first heard this song, I was initially shocked. It was like woah!, theres a fast beat in a sensitive film?.. But as I started to listen to it, it started to become part of Fanaa. The song by DJLUV makes you dance through the happiness of chand sifarish and makes you look at it in a positive way.The rest consists of 'Instrumental'- which again I found soulful. And after watching the film it made me love it even more.. Brilliant background music. almost haunting!Definately worth a buy!
