I bought a Faber Crystal 30 CT - 3 Burner Cook Top in Chennai about 2 months back. I wish I had read all the reviews in this column before making up my mind. I am suffering now. The burner simmer was never working. The simmer state was like normal ' burning ' status. We were also feeling a gas smell whenever we switched on the Cook Top. We have complained several times and the workman would turn up after several calls. He would turn up without the necessary equipments and then make a follow up call after several reminders. The story went for all 2 months. This morning, we noticed the flame under the Cook Top and switched it off completely. We called up the customer care and registered a complaint; we spoke to the Service Manager - Varun.
We spoke to the Regional Service Manager Mr. Iyer. We told them we had to stop the cooking in the middle of the break fast. We have not cooked lunch. As I am writing this note, we have not cooked dinner and we are preparing to go out for Dinner, just becasue we are unable to prepare food at home. Just imagine the harships and the expenses ! I have no idea when the service person is going to turn up. I have stated that my issue is a severity 1 issue and the customer care said their response time is 48 hours. I have made personal calls to the Service Manager and the Regional Service Manager. Both assured that they would get back to me. But so far no response. When I tried their number, they do not answer and are not responding to my text messages.
I leave it for you to draw your conclusions and decide whether you would risk your life and well being by buying a Faber product.
