Hi All,

I recently bought a Faber hobb (Non-Auto Ignition) from one of Faber Distributors.

Non-Auto Ignition Models are nomore manufactured by Faber but they whatever leftovers they or their distributors have, they sure do try to sell them to customers to get rid of it.

Model we bought was WA 40.

When we bought the model, we were told that its same was all other model. Only difference is that it is not auto ignition model.

After 4 days of using the model, we found out the real mystery behind that model.

All Faber Models comes with ditachable burners. Although this is a good idea and helps user clean the burners, problem arrises when one has to use lighter to light the burners. If you even touch the lighter to burner, burner gets detached from its place and there is a good chance of flames coming out of burner and being harmful to the user. This is exactly what happenned with us. My mother got her hands burned 1 day and her complete duppata caught fire while lighting the burner.

When I called up FABER, their customer care told me that FABER does not advises its customer to touch the burners with lighter as it can be harmfull. They never told me this when they were getting rid of this model to me.

I fought with them endless but they told me that once they sell the models to distributors, they dont have any responsibility. They told me t hat distributors should have told me. I talked to distributor., He told me, FABER has never told him to tell the customer about this risk.

Few other things:

  1. FABER never came to our place to give us DEMO

  2. FABER never gave us any manual on the working of hobb.

  3. After 3 weeks, when we asked for manual, they courierd us the manual. Now get this!! That manual is a generic manual which talks about hobbs in general but it not even contains a word on non auto ignition models. It doesnt even talks about any risk associated with it.

Its now 1 month and I am still fighting the battle with faber. I will advise all the consumers to think 1000000000000 times before buying anything from FABER.

Also do not buy anything from their distributors because as per FABER, they will not own any responsibility on the part of their distributors.

Hope this review helps you.

Thanks,

Kavan.
