French bow to Italian force !
Italy ! Yes, I was supporting Italy for the whole one month and yes Cannavaro lifted the World Cup and I finished my third beer and let to home with a big smile and lots of sweat. Yes, it was hot last night and the beer tasted fantastic.
Rushed to the pub with a 3 mins for kickoff and got a place to sit. Atlast its been one month and now I am here.. in this pub watching the grand finale. Before I start with Final game I have to highlight some games which I liked a lot. My predictions and rest of the crap.
First, the match I liked a lot, true football players, aggressive and attacking. Mexico Vs Argentina. There you go Argentina won the match on the other side Portugal had a big game against Netherlanders and they won in different style. Hosts Germany played brilliantly against Argentina to gain the semifinal seat.
But, they were disappointed by Italy. There I saw the really Italian Football. Apart from the allegations they have they really played. Half of the team will be under investigation on various things in Italy today. Yes its 10-07-2006 just one day after winning world cup. Coming back to games. Italy had a lucky escape against Australia in their group match. France barely got up by the end of their group matches, just qualifying to 2nd round. Anyway. as they say old French team needed time to wake up. But when they were up. All the wiseness was on the ground. , but only until the last game. FINAL ! Zidane header not on Italian guy, but the goal was a stunner. Went like a bullet towards the goal, but buffon did save it brilliantly. That was when I said to my friend who was supporting France, There buffon saves the World Cup ! Yessssssssss He did !
There were another 2 games which I liked a lot. But it wont remain in my memory for long. But Germany Vs Italy game, Mexico Vs Argentina, France Vs Brazil (That was when French were fully awake). and of course the final.
All European final - Mundial 2006, ended in style. Azzuri's did it. Men in Blue did it again after 1982. Before this it was in 1934 and 1938.

I didn't want to mention Zidane, But what to do, Old man had all the wiseness and brilliance but no patience.
So, I end up at home after the match at around 11:30 pm. Sober and happy !
Next day morning fresh and happy walking to work I get this newspaper which has Cannavaro holding the cup and I get my prize money from the game we had drawn one month ago at work. The prize was price less and joy of previous night was un imaginable. I am attaching the picture of the pub where I saw the match with lots of French and Italian fans.
