Evano oruvan is a remake of marathi movie .In tamil it is produced by madavan-the hero of the film.
The film shows how a normal man is affected by corruption and antisocial elements which make a man go violent and fight against it.
The film concept is similar to that of Indian but only difference is that in this film reality and no commercial ingredience are added.
The movie starting shows train arrrival, moving stopping, shows the mechanical life in metros.But repeated sceens come 2 to 3 times create some headache to audience.Mr.sreedharan vasudevan a middle class family stays in a housing quaters with 2 kids.The total housing unit is fed up with water supplier who makes them to wait for long time and once he gets his bribe money 100 he let them to collect water.madhavan goes several time to that water supplier and ask for their justice.
Madavan is working in a bank in loan section where is rejects a person file, a customer who doesn't have proper documents, but he is granted loan by branch manager.This instance makes madhavan very angry .This sceen explains that if a normal man has proper documents his loan will be rejected, but if he has some fixed deposit in that bank he is granted loan.
Vasudevan with his wife and daughter go for school interview where his daughter gets seat but only by giving donation.This hurts vasudevan more.This shows how in the name of education trusts, they mint money.Another incident where his son want to join for tution from his class master, who takes seperate tution for students.Vasudevan refuse to join his son for tution and says that if their master would have taken class correctly in school there is no need for tution.
Vasudevan goes violent when he and his collegue visit a petty shop, had a cool drink but the shop keeper ask 2 rs- extra than retail price(that is for cooling the cool drinks).Vasudevan gets angry and destroys the shop with a cricket bat.This incident goes to police.Vasudevan roam here and there with bat finally in night time he reaches near a hospital where he finds road side fast food is served, Police instead of clearing that shop gets regular bribe from shopkeeper, when Vasudevan questions it, he is taken to police custody.There the police person bailvan rangan had a tough time in policestation.
That night vasudevan's wife tries to find him but goes foiled.Police comes to vasudevans house enquire's about vasu and instructs her to give information if vasu is back home.The next day vasuis released and the bat with which he demolised the petty shop is retained by police.Now vasu becomes arm less.Vasu return, s home but when he enters, he finds his neighbours r still in queue to fetch water, but the same man who supplies water commands them that he cant supply water until his 100, he recieves.Vasu gets angry he thrashes the man who supplieswater and opens the valve of the water tanker.Several neighbour comes to stop including his wife butvasu escapes from that site.
Mr Seeman a director as acted as a chief police person enquires about vasu and found that these happenings are because of poor performance of police.vasu next attacks ward member when he is inaugurating a swimming pool, amidst scarcity of drinking water for his voters.Now vasu is with knife.
Police starts chasing vasu.But because of over media hyphe, where the ward member is attacked the police are in do or die situation to catch vasu. Vasu next attacks a drug trafficking gang and destroys the godown.After this incident vasu is with gun.
Next vasu enters an hospital for treatment of a street orphan, but hospital authorities neglects, so he thretens the doctor and suceeds in getting treatment for the boy.Now Seeman is under pressure to encounter Vasubecause of higher authorities pressure.Atlast he kills vasu, when vasu is surrounded by police in train he thretens police by showing a gun which had no bullets in it.Seeman feels this only after shooting vasu in the train.Thus the saga of "evano oruvan "ends.
The main draw back of the filn is after police enquiry at vasu's house they could have published his photo but that was lacking.Next the movie was little slow.
The movie has lot of+ve attitudes in it.The dialogues are really good.Once vasu after he escapes from drug trafficking gang reaches a main road where a road side orphan boy who does rangoli with chalk, there vasu gets totally unhappy with our living system fetches his hand, he faces the sky and tell "god I am not happy with ur philosophy "that sceen was really good.
Next police person seeman explains to his subordinate when shoot at sight order was given to vasu, he says the police which has tosafe gaurd civilians from antisocial elements get bribe from those elements.If a particular person tries to revoke against those elements he is encountered.This is the fate of our democracy he explains.
The music and editing is also good.The main plus is the movie is exempt of songs and stunts which is really appreciatable
