Tornado Trendy... Yes, that is the name of this little piece of wonder.
I came to know about Eureka Forbes vacuum cleaner when I was in 1st year of college. I was staying with a relative for a while before I moved to hostel. On a Sunday evening, a gentleman wearing white shirt and black trousers came with a rectangular box.
He unpacked the box in the hall and and assembled the pieces together. It had a long suction pipe, 3 pieces joined together. He put a white handkerchief between 2 pieces, pulled out the long power cord and plugged it to the plug, pressed a button on the main body (with his leg) and vroooooooooooooooooom.................He started cleaning the carpet, the sofa, curtains etc.
He moved around the entire hall as it had a long power cord and wheels on the main body. I was watching everything with amazement and finally, after 5 minutes he stopped it by pressing the same button(with his leg again), took out the handkerchief and showed the lump of dust on it. I got a shock of my life when he placed all the dust on his black trousers!!!!! But he used the same vacuum cleaner to clean all dust from there.
Ok, it was not over. He changed the pipe to the other end and showed us how one can spray paint, water, perfume etc by using the same.
He pressed another button on the body and zrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... entire cable went inside the body. and with everything fitted with it, he kept it in the corner behind the door.
I was simply mesmerized by Eureka Forbes Vacuum Cleaner and decided to own a piece in future. That time Eureka Forbes was the only company selling Domestic Vacuum Cleaners in India and that too just one model. Now there are lot of competitors and models but I stuck to Eureka Forbes based on my 15 year old memory and now, I have been using it for almost 3 years, I did not have to call the customer service till now.
I have been using it to clean sofa, couches, carpets, rugs, coat, curtains etc. Many of my friends and relatives have used it to paint their fridge.
Although it was not that effective to clean the floor, ceiling and cobwebs with expected perfection hence I had to take help of old faithful broom coupled with vacuum cleaner.
Now comes the best use of this and why I call it a little piece of wonder. *
My house is infested with small cockroaches and even Goodrej people couldn't clean them. So I dedicate 1 hour on Sundays to clean the cockroaches in my house by using the suction power of the vacuum cleaner and got satisfactory result.
Last, but not the least...I also use it to scare away my kids when they become very naughty. :)
In a nutshell, it is a very important equipment to have in home.
