I am a technology person. Any new technology I always readily adapt to it. But I believe technology must provide convenience, comfort, savings in time or money and ease of use. Vaccum cleaner is one product I found to be more troublesome to use and did not serve the advantage that a washing machine or Microwave offered.
My first vacuum cleaner was of course Eureka Forbes. Having experienced difficulty in using it, the machine lay idle in my house and I would use it very occassionally. It was heavy to drag around and with the power cord coming always in the way I thought a broom would do a better job. A few years later I purchased BPL system (thinking the problem could be with Eureka Forbes) but experienced similar difficulty. I find this technology itself has its limitation.
I suggest that manufacturers should introduce robot based system to solve this inconvenience.
However if you are using it for industrial purpose then you may consider buying one. Else if you plan to use only occasionally and want to have a so-called status symbol then definitely go ahead and buy.
