I bought this vacuum cleaner thinking I would be able to use it as a dry vacuum to replace sweeping and a wet vacuum to replace mopping, however it did not meet both expectations due to poor design.
some of the basic design flaws are that when you design a vacuum with a powerfull suction you also get a machine with a powerfull blower. I cannot understand why it is so difficult for any designer to understand that suction and blowler cannot be in the same plane . in this case it is in the same plane. now imagine you have pet hair or dust or sand or anything light you want to clean up . the moment you start this machine the great gust of air from the outlet will send everything everywhere. now to their defence I must say they gave a long hose or pipe, so I bet they expect you to stand the machine in one room while you clean another. well I got around this issue with a simple fix, I bought a small length of pipe and an L joint from the local hardware store that I inserted in the outlet to direct the airflow upwards!.
next issue is with the floor brush. its height is idel for going under stuff like sofas etc. howeveragain poor design makes it unusable for this purpose as when the holder is turned to make it flat it exposes a part of the hole that normally sits in the brush and lets air be absorbed from here instead from under the brush also with a great deal of noise.
Next any wet dry vacuum in my opinion should be quickly switchable from one to another. this is true to some extent but due to the nature of the filter elements, specy ially when switching from wet to dry, requires you to dry the container before use. Else the paper dry filter will become wet and spoilt.
next when using it as a wet vacuum you need to watchout for how much water has been sucked in else at one point you will have water being sprayed from the air blower outlet.
Then comes the most irritating part . a vacuum which handles air should obviously y be cooled by the forced air flow, but for some reason this does not work and if you happen to use it for 30-40 minutes, which will be the time needed to do a good job of cleaning a 3 BHK house it will suddenly stop due to the motor overheating.
Update: I have a case open with them for more than 10 days, if you call the I8800 number you get charged premium rates on you phone. every time I chat with them on the whataapp number they say they are escalating last time I very frankly told them, soon I would expect their CEO to come and attend my complaint. but I guess that will not be necessary as now I have had enough of them and will be lodging a formal complaint with the consumer forum.
After my review, I got a prompt message from the company to give my registered phone number, which messaged to them, two days passed, no call. so the short message is when it comes to service, you will never hear from them ever. however if by chance you ask for a demo or a sales call, you will be flooded with calls and messages.
to add insult to injury, this review has a issue fixed sticker. issue has still not been resolved.
better brands and better vaccume cleaners are available, dont go for this brand.
