Again and again Sales people give glorious description of their products and we tend to fall for that. I had bought Euroclean Turbo on 13/05/2009.


Details: Model - Euroclean Turbo Power - 800 Watts Bill no. - 026305 Order form cum Receipt no. - 311026305 Date of Purchase - 13/05/2009 Name of Agent - Ashok Kumar Id number of Agent - 9003155 Serial no of Machine - 7912835


Product Manual says - it can opperate for 30 mins continuously and takes 5-7 mins of cooling time. Sales agent, Ashok ji said - In actual 20-25 mins working and 5-7 mins cooling. In actual (my 3 times attempts/readings) - 4-5 mins working and 30-35 mins cooling...!!


I used it for the first time on May 17th. Because of repeated cutoff, It took me 1.5 hrs to clean a window (size = 4ft * 4ft). In that too, I had to quit using machine and start using a broom..!! After repeatedly calling Sales executive, a service engg. was sent (after 20 days of complaint). He told me that this is a handy model and is for light use only. When we asked him to describe light use, he told me like cleaning cars, etc. When we told him that the sales agent had given a demo by cleaning the window, he said, lot of dirt has clogged into the filter and hence the cleaner is getting hot.


We asked him that if we clean the filter, would we be able to clean our car for 30 mins? He said temperature is really hot these days and so 30 mins is not possible. We asked him to give the time duration for which Vaccum cleaner can work. He told us, 10-15 mins..!!! We told him that we would create ideal environment for this vaccum cleaner by turning on AC and get the temperature of 25 degrees. Can he just make it run for 25 mins leaving the cleaning work aside? He was still giving reasons and explanations.


We had a talk with the seniors of Sales as well as Service dept to upgrade the model and give us a better one. All are just killing time and giving me new numbers to talk to as Sales Executive (Ashok ji) was on leave. And I am wondering, if he resigns from his job, Am I all stucked up? The piece I had purchased comes with a lifetime service coupon which is still not delivered and Sales executive has only given me assuarance and nothing else. Sales team head, Vinay ji had promised for demo of ACE model on sunday (5/Jul/2009). Nobody turned up. I guess the usual Eureka forbes style. I called up today(6/Jul/2009). Vinayji completely denied of demo but said that they would be replacing Turbo with ACE and I would be required to pay the balance amount. I insisted on demo so he promised me to talk to Ashokji(sales rep) and call me up in 10 mins. After 40 mins, I called up only to be told that he is gone for the day. Let me see how much patience I am left with.


So people planning to buy this model, Buy it only if you have enough place in your Show case. Else go for better models. Eureka forbes does have better models. My uncle is using one of them (Euroclean Bullet, but I think Eureka forbes has discontinued it). Don't go in for handy ones (800 Watts models) in any brands. Or else Only handy thing in your hand would be a broom. Always verify Duration qouted on manual and that of the cleaner in actual, of whatever brand you choose. I have been using Aquagaurd (2 different models over span of last 18 years) and never had one service issue. But this time, its getting really irritating. Is it a Eureka Forbes issue or just EuroClean dept is pathetic?
