My name is Gagandeep Dhaliwal and I live together with my family in Patiala, Punjab. I want to share my family's bad experience with Eureka Forbes Company and to warn all of You, its potential Future buyers, about the low quality of the product it sold us and the feckless support it provided us.
No doubt vacuum cleaners are very handy to have at home and do pretty good job in helping you maintain your home out of germs, sand and dust which Indian environment bristles with.
By a concurrence of the circumstances we decided last year to trust the company in question and we bought Euroclean Supremo vacuum cleaner. It was working well only during the first one month. After that it just stopped cleaning and could not suck even a small piece of paper, that is, it stopped doing what it was supposed to do and started just making sounds.
We called their support and they sent us a technician who did not do absolutely anything (if turning it on and off several times could be considered doing Something). But he confessed that it had some problem. I lost the count of the calls we made subsequently, maybe 10 or even more but all the times we were boldly lied to that there was nobody in charge at that times in the office and someone from the company would put through to us later that day. Alas, it did not happen ever. And in the meantime our guarantee expired, too.
The guarantee was for 1 year, a year during which our vacuum cleaner was gathering dust in the lumber room instead of helping us in the household.
Four months ago I decided to go to their local office together with the terrible product and was told that motors of that model had lots of problems so that model was even DRAWN BACK FROM THE MARKET. That's why the office manager in charge at that particular moment promised me to return me the money for the vacuum cleaner if we did not like another model of the same brand. The cost of this trash was nearly 8 000 rupees!!!!!
Several days later, at dinner time, a couple of Eureka Forbes salesmen rang the doorbell and wanted to demonstrate another model vacuum cleaner. Those gentlemen wanted to barter our old cleaner but we had to pay additional 2 000 rupees!!!!! So, we did not agree to pay anything extra and decided to run for the offer of that officer and take our money back.
It is needless to say that our phone calls stopped being answered and nothing was done about our case after that. Eureka Forbes took our money and ran away, it was not only the bad support provided by this company but also the disrespectful attitude towards their clients which made us mad. When they have the slightest chance to take some more money out of your pocket, they are always there, like some sharks having sensed the smell of blood, but when you want to exert your customer's right, they go missing.
