So we have been using Eureka Forbes water purifiers at our home for over 10 years and had always been extremely impressed with their quality of service, professionalism and customer support. We liked EF products so much that we had three AquaGuard UV filters installed on all three of our apartments.
Recently, we decided to upgrade one of these UV filters to an RO one and zeroed in on this model after being convinced by the sales executive Mr Partha Adhikary from Kolkata circle. The product was delivered and installed but Mr Adhikary never came to collect the payment. Within 4 hrs of the installation the product stopped working and the service technician on the next day said that the IC of the product had gone defunct and this needs to be repaired.
We were extremely disappointed that a brand new product which costs nearly 17, 000 rupees has to be repaired right from the installation itself. So we straight away told them that since we hadn't paid for this item, we won't purchase it at all and requested them to take it back. We ordered another water purifier from another brand right on the very day.
Since that day, Eureka Forbes started showing their ugly face. My 84 yr old uncle who had taken the purifier was called constantly inquiring what the problem was and some sales manager or some sort of honcho went as far as reprimanding him on the phone for deciding to not purchase this product. I was shocked to see the audacity of these sales people who sugar coat words before the sale and turn to complete unprofessional after the sale has been made.
Anyway, needless to say that our trust and faith on Eureka Forbes has been ruined permanently and now Mr Partha Adhikary has not been answering our calls. He has no interest in taking back the product and the customer care is of no help either.
We have decided to dismantle the purifier on our own and dump it in the box and let these Eureka Forbes guys pick it up whenever they want. Completely disgusted with the unprofessional, unaccountable and ill-manner attitude of the Eureka Forbes staff.
Never ever go with Eureka Forbes. They were very good at a time but don't know what has happened, they have turned into a complete snake oil business.
