Etihad Airways one of the worst mistakes in my life! My husband and I chose Ethihad airways for our honeymoon to Greece. Not only was the cabin crew rude and less hospitable but were also responsible for my husband and me to miss our connecting flight back to bangalore. We were to catch a connecting flight from Abu Dhabi back to Blore. As we landed at Abu Dhabi we had about 40 mins for our connecting flight. So as we landed there was a man there standing with a board for the Chennai passengers. My husband and I on seeing him were asked to wait with him as he called out for other passengers which made it more difficult to catch our connecting flight.
On reaching the counter we were told that we.were late and had to rush.my husband and I ran to the gate and were shocked to see that our seats were allocated to somebody else. We could see that ppl.were still boarding the flight yet but since our tickets were sold to somebody else by these buggers we had to miss our flight! What followed next was worst. We.were told that there was no connecting flight until the next day and had to be at the airport as we did not hv Visa for Abu Dhabi. Our luggage though was with, them was told to us that it had been sent in the Chennai flight. They treated us so bad and gave us such little information and above all behaved like they didn't care.
We were given a meal.voucher where we could hv just a burger each, no extra snacks nothing! They made us run around the whole Abu Dhabi airport not knowing where to accomodate us. My husband with a broken leg had to make these crazy rounds with me. So we were left with no clothes, no place to sleep and no info what so ever about our transit visa. They again lied to us saying that we would get our transit visa in 4 hrs and until then we had to wait at the airport lounge the lounge given was the dingiest place.Imagine you are stranded at an international Airport, without Visa, clothes, accommodation and have nobody from the airlines giving you any clarity on the whole situation what so ever. After 4 hrs when we checked for our transit visa we were rudely told that they had no idea whatsoever about the same and that we still had to wait! Such was their service!we got our visa after 9 hrs. And to our amazement when we reached the hotel at the airport, we were told that we didnt need a transit visa at all!.wow.
Their biggest lie was when we got our suitcases in the same flight as we were put onto the following day. Gosh what liars! And what poor communication and co ordination. Worst airlines ever!
couldnt have had a more bitter experience! They indeed ruined my honeymoon.
