My visit to cricinfo.com was by chance. A couple of years back, I was in office, but my mind was on some match and I was dying to know the score. I went to rediff site and was following the match. Out of curiosity, I opened google and searched for other sites on cricket – cricinfo.com was listed in that, and thus started my association with cricinfo.com
What makes cricinfo.com so special: -
Ø It gives you ball-by-ball commentary – not only of matches involving India, but all international and ranji matches being played in the world. You feel like you are watching the match live. Also you do not need to refresh the page every now and then to get the latest score. The page refreshes automatically.
Ø Along with the commentary, it also provides some interesting stats on the players / ground / team / umpire, and what not.
Ø It also provides pre and post sessions on the matches – including great analysis.
Ø There are regular columns like Ask Steven – You would find most bizarre facts about cricket – ever heard of a three bowler over or a bowler bowling consecutive overs in test?

More importantly, it serves people who have to be in office with work, but yearn to watch the game, know the scores, curse the batsmen for getting out cheaply, shout at the fielder dropping catches, and admire the bowler for the beautiful deliveries.
Whenever there is any important game going, I keep the site open, while I do my office jobs, every ten minutes, I just maximize the window, and enjoy those precious seconds of reading through the match.
