I had an Ericsson T-28 phone. Notice I stressed the word had.
This very small 900 MHz phone came with everything I was looking for. I got 2, not 1 but 2 chargers for it. One was a permanent or stationary one, that I set up at home and the other was a portable one to have for emergencies. This one I kept in the car, so if I was out somewhere with my phone and the battery went dead, I'd have it handy.
It also was able to forward my calls to another phone while I was charging this one up.
I could store many phone numbers that would dial at the touch of 1 or 2 numbers.
Other features were call waiting and messages.
I must admit, I got an exceptional deal on it when I purchased it. If I signed up for 2 years of service, with a local (BellSouth) provider, the phone would only cost me 1¢!
That's right, 1 penny!
So, I signed up. $35.00 per month, for 2 years. Free nights and weekends for the first 6 months and free roaming for 1 year. After that, for my $35.00, I got 2000 minutes per month, and roaming charges were added.
Still sounds good, doesn't it? Well. it would have been a great deal, if the phone worked at least 1/2 time. But, no, it didn't even work 1/2 time!
The battery itself went dead approximately every 8 hours and had to be recharged for 8-12 hours to regain active service. So I had to go out and purchase another battery to use between charges. The antenna became loose and had to be pushed and prodded each time I wanted to use the phone or all I would get was static. The flip cover broke off after using the phone for only 2 weeks. I could get no service while I was inside any building or store. It didn't connect 75% of the time on out of state calls.
Need I go on anymore? This is (in my opinion) an inferior product at any price. I would recommend any other phone to you over this one.
(Oh, by the way. My niece loves the phone. She keeps it in her doll carriage(no battery) so her dolls can call their friends.)
