We purchased an Epson Stylus 660 printer a little over a year ago to complement our new system. It was nothing impressive, kind of ''what you saw was what you got'' but it worked and is still working. It has it's high and low points.
It is a fairly inexpensive printer that after extensive usage requires a little maintenance, though none manual. We have yet had to replace any parts on it (You never know, it just may be waiting for the warranty to expire)but it does need cleaning every other week or so(or else you will get lines through your printouts)but that is simple to do and only takes a couple minutes.
This printer is okay for printing documents and cards and small pictures, but if you have a digital camera or scanner and want to print your own pictures, I advise against choosing this printer to execute that task. It has low quality for printing pictures, takes a long time, and uses a lot of ink to do it.
But if you just want an inexpensive, durable printer for documents and such, this one will do just fine. It has yet to break down on me, and I print quite a bit. The ink runs for about $20 cartridge, I usually replace it once a month. It prints documents at average speed and rarely jams, so if you need something simple, I present to you the Epson Stylus 660.
