''Every night and every morn

Some to misery are born

Every morn and every night

Some are born to sweet delight

Some are born to sweet delight

Some are born to Endless night''

That was the inscription preceding the text of Agatha Christie's book ''Endless Night''. The mere implications sent shivers down my spine. Agatha Christie was a thinker...I can only imagine it now...as she reads this passage, a story is born. There's a guy and he meets this girl on a cursed land...Gipsy land. He dreams of buying the land and building his home there, but he's too poor. He falls in love with the girl and finds that she is rich...rolling in money. She buys the land and they start living their dream, despite ominous warnings from a crazy gipsy.

Unfortunately, the fairy tale doesn't last long and people turn on each other until you don't know who to trust, and the ending is so deliciously Christie.

I closed the book with those ominous words in my head. Some people are born with it all, riches, fame, power, looks, ''Sweet Delight''. But some are born in a dark tunnel they can never escape, no matter how they try it seems, they are always trapped in ''Endless Night''

And, if you read the book, you'll be trapped too, until you finish, with a decidedly satisfying chill.
