When I read my first Deaver novel, “The Coffin Dancer”, I became a fan of his writing style. So I brought his another book “The Empty Chair” and this one was even better. It was enjoyable and easy to get through. The intricate weaving of the story works well, and the various local personalities are vivid and believable.
As with each book in the series, the forensics investigation is fascinating. The plot is so carefully crafted that it gains speed as it moves along, revealing layers of plot as it goes. I don't think anybody can guess the ending. A great thriller and full of suspense. Be sure to get a copy for yourself.
