Well we planned for a chill visit for munnar between 16th Jan and 19 Jan 2015. So my brother and I searched for a better hotel for stay on internet and finally booked this resort thru direct phone and email.
Procedure for booking -
1) Called up the Resort/hotel and requested for email id.
2) then sent up a email requesting quotations, amenities and rooms details.
3) After getting details, requested for their bank account details so that we could transfer the advance money for confirming the booking.
4) Paid the advanced, got room booked within two days and all was set good to go.
We left Chennai, by morning 7:30 in our sedan and reached hotel by around 6:15 pm.
Checked-in on 16th night, stayed for 2 days and 3 nights and checked out on 19th morning.
Our type of room - Exclusive with balcony hill view.
Amenities & facilities with the Resort.(Also PROS)
1) Clean Rooms and toilet. Also has geyser facility.(See Cons)
2) Well designed reception area. Very Attractive.
3) Large parking lot with parking assistance.(See Cons)
4) TV with dish and wifi facility.(See Cons)
5) Room has refrigerator and water/tea Kettle. The Kettle was very useful.
6) Extra strong fold-able bed provided at extra cost(Rs.1000 per night).
7) Resort is just 2 floors but has Lift facility! That was awesome.
8) Resort also has a In-house multi cuisine Restaurant.(see Cons) Tea/coffee in morning are provided very quickly, in less than 10 min. Never seen this fastness with any other hotel till yet.
9) My room had balcony with hill view. A sunset type.(see Cons)
10) very obedient and friendly staff. Offered them a lots of tips.
CONS -
1) Thou the resort has geyser facility, hot water comes only between 6:30 am to 10 am and 6:30 pm to 10 pm. But it was mentioned as 24 hrs geyser in their website. That was little pain.
2) Parking lot is large but is not enough. During campfires, we had to park our car outside the premised on hill roads which is very unsafe.
3) Tv with dish is there but only 40 channel are there. Not all channels. At many other hotel I stayed, there wer over 100 channels in the Tv!
4) The in-house restaurant offers free buffet Breakfast. But offers cold food. Also offers buffet dinner with hot food! But priced heavily, Rs.1200 per 3 persons. Lunch is the only thing, which we can order of our own choice and for our price. But I had a problem with Lunch too.
At noodles section, there were Mixed noodles and Chinese noodle, So I asked the server the difference between the two noodles and he relied "There is no difference between the two sir". So I ordered The Chinese. The mixed noodle is nothing but "Noodle mixed with chicken, mutton, prawn and vegi". But I got Chinese which is full veg. Already I waited for 15 min for the lunch and then got a wrong dish due to misunderstanding. Then rejected the Chinese noodles and waited to get the mixed noodles.! Till then my mom and bro finished their lunch and I had to eat alone.!
Anyways, though the food is not the best but is absolutely acceptable when compared with other munnar restaurant like Soma surya and Rapsy.
5) My Balcony is hill view a sunset type. The hill had nothing. Only normal trees and roads. So did not spend much time at balcony.
6) there were 3 plugs in the room, one for kettle and two for charging phones. But one of the plugs was not working at all. We had 4 phones and 2 cameras. Good that I brought a multi plug charger from home, otherwise how could have I charged all my gadgets!
7) Tea was provided very fast, but the empty cups very never taken back for 2 days. They dont clean/clear the dustbins at all.
So overall - A Super awesome resort to stay. Very peaceful location(away from Munnar town). Since this is a newly built resort, everything is good. Hope they do the same all times.
