I recently purchased Elica 60 cm 1200 m3/hr filterless auto clean kitchen Chimney(FL 600) from Amazon under the order ID 403-1574492-3421108.
I received a call from the 'Royal Service Center', Bhandup, Mumbai, two days ago, to get installation done before the replacement period. I was ready for the same. Yesterday, again a lady called me from this service center, I believe her name is Pooja(informed by the serviceman) and briefed me about the installation charges. I believe she told me the installation charges would be 590 Rs and a pipe charge would be there. I clearly remember her telling me that the pipe charges are 1500 rs 10 ft. I told her, It may not require that much as per the space of the duct and the chimney location given according to the construction of my apartment, it would hardly be 2-3 ft.
She told me, you do not have to pay for the entire pipe, you can pay as much required to you.
Today, upon fitting the chimney I asked the guy how much pipe would be needed, he said you will require 3 ft.(I have attached the picture) He wrote the charges on his bill as 750 Rs. I started asking him why I have to pay half the charges of 5ft if my requirement is only 3 ft. AS IT WAS INFORMED TO ME BY POOJA THAT YOU PAY AS PER YOUR REQUIREMENT.
So the service guy asked me to call this pathetic man 'Azad Singh', who sits in the service center. After listening to my point, this cheater said 'You will have to pay 5ft. charges'
My question is if you wanted to charge 5ft pipe, even if customer requirement is lesser, why in the 1st place you told me that you can pay as per my requirement?
The service guy also said madam as per requirement you will have to charge only 300 rs for the pipe.
Also, a charge of Rs 250 was added to my bill for I do not know, for cutting an aluminum ribbon attached to the chimney, which did not require any effort.
Now just to show that they have attached a 5ft pipe to my chimney, the serviceman was told to put the remaining pipe inside the one that is attached.
This is a clear-cut cheated service and robbery.
This is my first impression of Elica; I saw reviews and then I purchased. The brand's name is being ruined by these service centers.
Kindly inform your service people 'NOT TO CHEAT' or 'SCAM OR FRAUD' your customers.
Plz give us a clear-cut idea of what the charges will be. Tell the customer, the minimum pipe requirement is 5ft.
I wish Mr. Azad Singh would face the same thing I faced today, a robbery in future.
I would definitely post this review on Amazon, Google and Elica website.
I request Elica, I DO NOT WISH TO TAKE FURTHER SERVICES FROM 'Royal Service Center.'
