We purchased the inbuild hob from vijay sales. Firstly we got a defective piece. On complaining several times, the customer care would just come and say we will fix it and leave, went on for over a month. Being tired of their unprofessional attitude we complaint to vijay sales who immediately looked into the matter.
After them realising that elica is unable to solve the issue, they immediately send us a replacement which stopped working again in 15 days. The problem with the elica hob is that they have the electrical lighter for which the wire passes by below the hob and the gap in the stove is a little too much and hence even with the little drop of water the light gets spoilt and goes hay-wire.
It very impractical for indian use as we all have servants who clean up the kitchen and they tent to drop in a bit of water while cleaning the stove. The only time its practical to purchase this product is when you decided never to wash it or let no water around it. Its a wonder how elica would be so stupid not to think this over. I also have the build in oven and microwave of elica which is perfect and definitely a good buy, but will not reckon the inbuild hob to anyone.
