Elephants caves we journeyed by a steamer from the gate way of India in Mumbai and within one or one and half hour our steamer reached the spot.witnessing big vessels at the calm sea waters we reached and climbed through countless stairs .Before that we went for a little refreshment and reached the spot.We wondered at the ancient, primitive, pristine statues and sculptures and relics built lacs of years ago.

Most of them are in dilapidated condition .Some of the relics look living.yes yes we also eased our eyes watching that famous deity with three heads possibly of lord Vishnu. The cave is illuminated and did not face trouble walking .The relics are surrounded by boundaries .we took photos without flash .The place is wonderful and my according its a nice weekend tour from Mumbai.

In October the sea was calm.We had our lunch at the island named Elephanta. Then we returned to Mumbai.Anyone except people having hydro or sea fobia must visit this incredible island. It is some memory to cherish
