Elco Pani Puri Centre is not just a restaurant, it is a landmark. Over the years, it has become so popular that even people from the other part of the town are familiar with it.
Situated in the heart of Hill Road, Elco Pani Puri centre serves a mix a of Indian & Chinese cuisine. But mostly this place it famous for its chats. Authentic Rajasthani and Gujarati snacks are served here with a slighly'Mumbaiya' twist. Their pani puri is truly the most piquant version I have ever had. They make the puris themselves, hence they are super fresh and crispy. They take special care about hygiene and the vendor is always seen wearing gloves while he is carefully dipping the scrumptious puris in the mouth watering'tikka pani'.
Other favourties include ragda pattice, which is served along side some pickle, lime, onions and a cute little pav. I particularly love their gulam jamus which are always served piping hot, they are succulent and soft, every single time! Their chole baturas are another reason to visit this place. The batura is thick and soft and the chole of kala chana is tangy and spicy however, they only serve one batura and if you want another one(trust me, you WILL want another one) you have to pay extra. The restaurant is slightly overpriced for a chat centre but I would suggest everyone to visit it at least once.
