Lust after your boss, way to go!!. Review on Ek Ladki Anjaani Si

Launched this April, lifted off a Venezuelan series this is promising to be another prime time slot time wasting series that will well go on for atleast 3 years. Full of contradictions, where a middle-class 18 year old dripping with sanskriti (Indian cultural values) who takes on battles for people, lusts after her married boss at work.

Shows like this set the stage to sanctify adultery so why have the pretence of being the walking epitome of sanskritic upbringing. The plot is simple, middle class girl bowled over by her powerful married boss, ofcourse by teh end of teh series will end up ousting the wife and taking her place a la Jassi!! So this is what media shows preach. Some imagination could have been used like fighting a wrong by suing the hospital that impregnated Ananya artificially when she went for a check up.

Its unimaginable why to obtain a US visa would an 18 year old have to undergo an internal examination not to mention the gynaecologist who impregnates her does not realise that she is a virgin (story line professes that) when she does so, presumably she works with her eyes shut. The acting by Ananya beyond her monotonous hectaring nasal twang with only two facial expressions wins her the soap queen of the year crown, as for Shakti, who has some talent one can only sympathise that he is reduced to such plot lines. Ananya's mother, should have played Ananya's role, she is expressive and hot with her saree partially draping seductively but she cannot expect her daughter to be much different from her if she herself is in and out of relationships with married men.

The usual ''Birji'' character irritates with her views on theorld and drawing Wahe Guru into everything. The moral of the story is if you are from a middle class family, lust after a rich, influential boss at work, destroy his existing marriage and worm your way into his life, thats the way forward!!
