I know that the title of my review gives you a general kinda feeling, as I am discussing RGV's all of the films, but it is only limited to one aspect of it and my main focus is ek haseena thi. so first of all lets talk about that ''minor problem'' of ramu's films...

i am a big fan of ram gopal verma I loved his films like satya, kaun, rangeela, mast, company and jungle etc as they give you a refreshing taste other then the formulatic and routine shape of indian films .

BUT.... I always feel ( may be some others also) that there is a minor problem with ramu's films that in climax, he always treat the film in a way that his films failed to give a punching and granduer's impression.... All of his films look grandeur from start till pre climax but whenever he started concluding his flicks, the grandeur of the film evoporates and a very light, non punching and relatively less impressive image of the film comes in mind as contrary of rest of the film and a bit of immaturism reflects on screen.

same is the case with Ek hasina thi , as the ''rat game'' with saif , urmila's expression in the end and conclusion of the film stealed the superb and grandeur image of the film ... I dont mean that all that looked bad but it was less intelligent and less mature then the rest of the film.

Also another problem (which a reviewer has mentioned already) that the colour and design of clothes didnt matched with the going ons and psyche of the characters, specially it is irritating to see a lady mad by revange and anger (Urmila) in pink clothes, and cream trousers and shocking orange shirt in preclimax and climax...

As u know outfits and their colours have a strong impression on the screen play, portraying of going ons, and grip of the film so these non -matched outfits (specially of urmila) disturbed the flow seriousness and level of acceptance of this film. Now over to movie .. I will not tell the story (as I hate to write and explain movie stories) and also u must have read it in other reviews....

The main plot is interesting and is a bit if not completely new and original. the main asset of the film is screenplay which gave it an edge to seat thriller impression, also Ramu's direction is powerful and moving (except the ''minor'' problem that I mentioned). Background music was perfect and did full justice with the mood of the film.

Performance wise Urmila is THE BEST as she is very good in these kind of angry women roles that demand a high tone of acting, Saif is another surprise who un expactidely suited very well in a negative role and shows various shades of our modern age's mean and selfish man.

Overall this film is surely worth a watch and I loved to give it a 4 or 5 star rating if the OUTFIT problem (sounds funny na.. :) ) and RGV's Minor (which become major as one seeks totality) problem.

{also I am waiting for you people's comments on that minor problem with ramu's films as what u think about it and the outfit matter of this film, as they are not so strong objections but they somewhat diluted the overall impact of an otherwise perfect film).
