This is a weekly show, broadcasted every sunday night @ 10 P.M. This TV show will remind you that golden era of original serials like nukkad, humlog and buniaad. Although I was to youg to watch and remember those serials at that time. but I have watched all those TV shows when they were re-broadcasted on "Star Utsav ". Again I will repeat that this serial is different from the present generation of serials.
This show is a simple yet a real life portrayal of a very friendly colony named “Karnelgunj”, where each person is a character in itself, and has his own story. This show incites gently into the core of the human heart with its light humorous tales. The uniqueness of the show is that it does not stay with one story but introduces new ones every few episodes through it's gamut of characters and interesting new things that keep happening in the lives of colony mates, so that, it encompasses many stories about many people, not unlike life.
Many of its episodes were with a social message and could left introspecting. But, in the parallel the main strength and constant attraction of this show is, its infallible romantic spirit….
Urmi is center stage of this mohalla's guys who loves “Sandeep Babu”(Varun vadhola). This character urmi is very very sweet and very very non-sense one. She is perfect for this role.She makes every possible effort to get attention of sandeep baboo. She always finds out a reason to go to sandeep's Room, Sometimes she mekes fake stories about "suffering from cancer" and the another time she keeps "Solah Somvaari Vrat " and asks/ wishes from god shiva that sandeep baabo should give her Red Rose, take her for a movie and give her compliments etc. Somehow, at the end she makes everybody loughing for her nonsense deeds.
In this show there are 4 more young characters / clowns who are best friends but at the same time each of them love Urmi.
First one is Jugle a good for nothing boy. He The second one is Rahul, who believes that fame and fortune is waiting for him in Mumbai and that is one of the reasons why he has not left mohalla.Mushtaq and Hari are the other jigsaws, who completes the band of four idiots.
Apart from this simple but tickling story the cast is very good. Presence of Varun Vadhola as central character itself says this serial has some content. Because, he is a very selective and mature actor in my opinion.
